RETREAT STARTS IN
Shaunelle Harris Drake, SitAWhile Retreat host

SitAWhile
Retreat.
2020 was like a thief in the night. And in 2021 we tried to figure out the next normal! Many of us were caught off-guard and our lack of control over the circumstances left us reeling. The truth is we will never truly be in control of what happens, yet by being intentional we can create moments of stillness that bring us calm.
With relaxing piano music and guided reflections, SitAWhile end of year retreat invites you to pull away from the noise, recharge your batteries and get ready to enter 2022 with calm, clarity and courage.

Come away to a quiet space
SitAWhile End of Year Retreat invites you into a quiet space with relaxing piano music and guided reflections.
It offers you time and space for personal reflection, to recharge your batteries and regain the clarity and courage you need to move forward. This will be your oasis in the middle of an increasingly stressful and competitive pace.

The retreat may be enjoyed alone from the comfort of your home, or you can invite friends and family to join you and create your own unique experience.
There will be sessions with no requirement for microphones or camera, the perfect setting for introverts and a well needed quiet time for extroverts.
My prayer is that as you pause, reflect, journal and share you’ll come away with your one thing to impact your world for good in 2022 and a plan to build pause in your routine.
dAILY THEMES
This retreat is designed with daily themes (look up, look back, look ahead) that can stand on their own or take us on a journey together.
Building pause and stillness in your routine is an individual journey and may look different for each person. These daily sessions will help you discover ‘your’ unique stillness rhythm which will help you thrive.

As we pause, we will look up and see that with God all things are possible. Taking a peek back over our shoulders, we will look for the clues we left behind and how/where we left our mark.
Then we will look ahead and identify how we will intentionally use our gifts to make a positive impact. There’ll be no pressure to have a full plan, just a vision of your next immediate steps.

guided reflections
The realization of this retreat is a testimony of how God uses pause time and stillness to set a vision into motion.
Guided reflections from Shaunelle and her guests bring this to life through the 15-20min sessions that will leave us with points of reflection and inspiration.
Guests include:
Deborah Colomer (Switzerland), Psychomotor therapist, creative artist
Grace-Ann P. Cornwall (Jamaica), author From Bandana to Madras: God’s Mercy and Faithfulness to me from Jamaica to Saint Lucia
Marie Lavis (Luxembourg), Illustrator, animator and graphic designer based in the UK
Nancy Hancock-Cullen (USA), blogger, publisher of “The Writings of Hancock” and soon to be released, “Giving your lost stories a voice”
this retreat is for you if…

Hello Sue I’m very sorry you missed this. The registration would have closed at the time you posted.
In the meanwhile I hope you will still have time for some quiet moments as you look ahead into the new season. There are some gentle piano pieces that can help you pull away from the noise and be still as well here https://www.connectingyouto.xyz/sitawhile/. You may also get connected on the mailing list and I will send you emails when we have future SitAwhile events and more music.
Thank you.

Hi Shaunelle,
I hope that you are well and had a great Christmas. I just got an email indicating that if I hadn’t yet received the link to tomorrow’s session I should comment here to let you know. I am not yet seeing the link. Can you help me please.
Also, I was unable to register for Wednesday’s session due to another commitment. Is it at all possible to share in the content in some way, shape, or form at a later time? Please let me know.
I also had sent an email with the transaction number for a contribution that was made via online transfer. I hope that you are seeing it.
Thanks much.
Hi Lisa, thanks for checking in. Yes Christmas was SUPER!! I’ve sent across the Zoom links so you should have them in your inbox now. Could you check again and let me know please.
Re sharing Wednesday’s content, yes I’m working on that and will keep you posted. I know not everyone will be able to attend all the sessions so it’s something I am definitely considering. Re the transfer, thanks a lot for that. It will probably take a few days to arrive in my account, I’ll look out for it during the week and confirm back to you over email directly.
Looking forward to having you this week!
Ciao
